About Our Collections at the University of Richmond

Boatwright Library’s Digital Engagement Team creates digital collections of University publications, of archival materials held by the University, and of materials that advance learning and research at and beyond the University. They execute or manage each stage in this process, from digitization of print or analog materials to the creation of transcriptions and metadata, and from the development of digital collections to the long-term preservation of digital materials for future generations. More information about Digital Engagement can be found here

The physical materials which were digitized are held by UR's Book Arts, Archives, and Rare Book department (BAARB). More information about their unit can be found here or their finding aids can be found on their ArchivesSpace site here

Digital materials in the University of Richmond library collections are open to the public for educational and research purposes. Other uses, including reproduction, redistribution, publication, or transmission, require specific written consent. Questions may be directed to digitalengagement@richmond.edu.

The University of Richmond Libraries provides access to digital collections as part of its responsibility to preserve and make available the historical and cultural record. Some materials contain racist, sexist, or otherwise offensive language, imagery, or ideas. These materials are shared because they document the past and support research, teaching, and interpretation. Questions or concerns about specific materials may be directed to the Digital Collections Librarian at digitalengagement@richmond.edu.
