Carl Van Vechten: A New York State of Mind Comes to Richmond

Our current featured exhibit is "Carl Van Vechten: A New York State of Mind Comes to Richmond" which focuses on Carl Van Vechten's connection to the city of Richmond, Virginia. Using resources from the Carl Van Vechten - Mark Lutz Collection, this exhibit details Van Vechten and Richmond from his first visit when contributing to The Reviewer to his later relationship with Mark Lutz and their ability to bring Gertrude Stein to the University of Richmond.
